BAFTA award winning Jody Smith is the Multiplatform Commissioning Editor for Entertainment and Comedy at Channel 4. As well as having a stupidly long job title, Jody commissioned the digital components of innovative game shows The Million Pound Drop and The Bank Job. He recently launched Comedy Blaps which is Channel 4's new vehicle for delivering fresh comedy talent in moreish, bite-sized chunks.
As you can tell, he’s a big fan of using games to increase audience participation and is a little obsessed with the way people interact with secondary devices while watching TV. But that’s mainly because he can’t look at anything for more than five minutes without playing with his phone. Previously at Channel 4, he launched and ran E4.com and directed the online campaigns for hit dramas such as Misfits and Skins.
Jody will be presenting some of the wizardry and skill behind these cutting edge projects that earned him, and his team, the 2011 BAFTA award for Digital Creativity.

Creative Networks
Creative Networks is the biggest networking group of creative professionals in Yorkshire and has been developed to nurture creative talent and to foster partnerships and collaboration.
